The lefthander held the Braves hitless through three innings while striking out eight and working his way out of a bases-loaded jam in the second. Scott started and pitched brilliantly for the Giants. The Giants tied the score in the top of the second as Jack Scott singled, stole second, stole third, and was driven in on a ground out by Patrick Klinges. The Braves opened the scoring in the bottom of the first as David Auerbach walked, stole second and scored on an overthrow. The much-anticipated matchup featured the top two seeds from the 20-game regular season. HAVERTOWN – After taking the regular season crown with a record of 14-6, earning a first round playoff bye and edging the Nationals, 4-3, in the second round of the playoffs, the Braves captured the Haverford Township Little League Minor League Championship earlier this month as they came from behind to down the Giants by a score of 7-5.
